Title:Lana`i Eucalyptus Bowl with Hawaiian Quilt Pattern
Material: Lana`i eucalyptus wood, burned and textured Hawaiian quilt pattern
Size: 1.5" tall x 5.5" wide
One-of-a-kind eucalyptus wood bowl, by master wood turner Dr. Craig Mason. The tree had grown between 6th and 7th Streets, just above Nani street in Lana`i City.
Dr. Mason was inspired to create the burned and textured Hawaiian quilt pattern by memories of the view of the geometric patterns of pineapple fields that used to cover the Palawai basin on the island of Lana`i.
Dr. Mason has been working with wood for more than 32 years, and uses only reclaimed wood...he never purchases wood or cuts down trees.
