"These are 1938 Dodge Fargo buses purchased to transport residents working on the pineapple plantation in the late 30's and 40's to the harbors for travel and leisure. Although there was the Great Depression and then a World War, pineapple was king here on Lana'i and eventually we became the world's largest plantation. A testament to all of the hard working individuals and families that lived here at the time."
