This famous landmark is a WWII era ferro-concrete barge (YONG-42). It was intentionally grounded in the Kalohi Channel between Moloka'i and Lana'i, and looms as a sentinel just a few hundred yards from the sand of Kaiolohia Beach.
I arrived at the shipwreck before dawn in order to capture the first rays of sun on it's rusty hull. It's truly a sight not to be missed on your tour of Lana'i!
