I painted this from the far end of the harbor as the sun was rising over Haleakala. Nestled in the canopy of the Banyan Tree, the courthouse glows in the distance...hard to believe almost all of these boats are gone. While I was painting this, 2 young girls strolled by with their surfboards. I took a quick photo which became "Keiki Surfers", also in this "Maui Memories" section.
